Hey there! I’m Alisa Tant, a lifestyle and wedding photographer with over 10 years of experience capturing love, laughter, and real emotions. But let’s rewind a little—I have quite the journey that brought me here!
My Story
I was born in Russia, Eastern Europe, into a mix of cultures—my mother is half-Russian, half-Ukrainian, and my father is half-Tatar, half-Bashkir. That gave me a deep appreciation for different traditions, emotions, and ways of seeing the world.
At 16 years old, I left home to pursue my education and earned a red diploma (which is the highest academic honor in Russia) in Teaching English as a Second Language. At the same time, I completed a second degree in Business Management, also with honors.
After university, I spent three years in the banking industry, quickly working my way up to branch manager. But something was missing—creativity. I was always organizing events, participating in competitions, and just throwing myself into anything dynamic and fun.
That’s when a colleague mentioned a new photography school opening. My husband and I signed up, and by the end of the course, both of our projects won top awards among all students. That’s how our photography journey started.
From Russia to Vietnam to the USA
We took a leap and moved to Vietnam, where we lived entirely off photography. No backup plans—just our cameras and our passion. After some time, we returned to Russia and randomly chose Tyumen (a city where we knew no one) as our next stop. We built our photography business from scratch, and in just five years, we became top wedding photographers in the region.We were fully booked, shooting nonstop, but there was one thing I didn’t particularly enjoy—family photography. It just wasn’t my thing… until I became a mom.
Why Family Photography?
Having my daughter changed everything. I finally understood what parents truly want in photos, how to interact with kids so they have fun (and don’t cry!), and how to capture real emotions that parents will cherish forever. That’s when my work evolved from just beautiful posed shots to something meaningful, soulful, and full of life.I still have all the technical expertise from my years as a top wedding photographer—I can work with any lighting conditions and shoot in any environment. But now, my focus is on capturing raw, authentic family moments.

One day, someone asked me what I enjoy photographing more—weddings or families. And I answered: I love capturing love in all its forms.
This is my first speech in English—and actually, my first speech on camera ever! I was really nervous and worried, but you know, you have to start somewhere, so please don’t judge too harshly.Of course, I didn’t memorize anything, so I’m reading a little, which makes it less emotional than usual. But hey, it’s all part of the process! Hope you enjoy it!
